MBA Programme
For the last 7 years Oxford Summer Schools has been running a dedicated MBA programme in partnership with Clemson University, SC. The business programme was developed in response to demand for an executive level visit encompassing thought leadership, best practice and tactile site visitations of a range of UK based businesses.
Based predominantly in the Manufacturing & Engineering sector, these site visits welcome the visiting MBA students to a series of high profile site visits with usually the Managing Director or CEO of a range of businesses from owner-managed-small-to-medium sized businesses (under 250 employees) through to larger tier one and OEM (original Equipment manufacturer) of multi national organisations.
The challenge was to ‘throw the text book out of the window’ for a few hours and hear the real decisions made from the board room. Each year the MBA will visit organisations with different backgrounds, industries and challenges and will report back to their hosts with a group led research project on their findings from the site. All aspects of production, HR, sales & marketing, finance & accounting are teased out from the visits against the backdrop of international and domestic ownership.
Approaching its 9th year, 2024 will be running its latest cohort with Clemson University’s MBA programme.
