Academic Summer School at Magdalen College, University of Oxford

After a period of transition, St Peter’s College Summer School relocated to Magdalen College – one of Oxford’s oldest – with the positive support of both Colleges and our partner institutions from which most participants come. The Summer School continues in exactly the same format, with the same St Peter’s College Director (working closely with Magdalen colleagues) and core academic staff who have delivered it for three decades. Magdalen College have housed the Summer School since during 2010.

MAGDALEN COLLEGE is one of Oxford’s most magnificent Colleges in terms of its historical origins, architecture and grounds. Founded by the Bishop of Winchester and Chancellor of England, William Waynflete, in 1458 during the reign of Henry VI, it is located at the eastern end of Oxford’s High Street, immediately adjacent to Magdalen Bridge over the River Cherwell and its water-meadows.

We are delighted to house the Summer School for the foreseeable future at such a wonderful venue !
